Pet Portrait Paintings

Mick's faraway, but alert look and  gentle, slightly awkward nature make me wonder what memories he has of his racing days before he was rescued.  

Bradley is a black labrador. I really wanted to capture his noble look and slightly sad eyes. 

Bear is a brindle mix. His feisty but kind and loving nature came across well in this one. 

Ago (after his namesake, the legendary motorcycle racer Giacomo Agostini) is just like his namesake--strong willed and full of character!

Skip is a highly energetic  Wire-Haired Pointing Griffon, with a crazy friendly personality. Painting him was a challenge as his hair covers his eyes so much! 

The frame example is with a double-layered mat.

Kodie was a mix but clearly had Husky in her as her ice-blue eyes gave her a very distinctive look. She was a total character with the sweetest personality.

Gracie was a totally devoted Romanian Miortic Shepherd cross. A strong-willed but very affectionate lap-dog, Gracie was also very wise. She is still sorely missed after she crossed over the rainbow bridge.   

Another Staffordshire with the sweetest of natures. She's an old lady now, so I wanted to capture her from her youth.
